"The use of the material, the choice of the translucent fabric is implicitly linked to a question of ideals: how difficult is it to believe in the invisible, in the intangible?
At the same time, the title of the exhibition alludes to her artistic poetics. To create her paintings, the artist draws on her personal baggage of memories, thoughts, abstract matter that the canvas absorbs and reveals, emergences of lived moments, transitions of memories and moods."

The "Double" is understood as coexistence of opposing elements, which interact with each other generating tensions or suspensions that make the images ambiguous and evocative.
The theme of the exhibition extends beyond the pictorial surface. The same exhibition space develops in two rooms, becoming a means to investigate the double, and hanging the spectators in the balance between two worlds.

"The exhibition is organized around the theme of organic and material reality, a reality linked to human nature and to natural world and vegetable. The eye of the fly is composed of thousands of elementary eyes (ommatidia) which fragment the observed reality into lots of little pictures which constitute reality itself: in the same way, each painting on display represents a portion of reality. The artists exhibiting their works are ten students of the Academy of Fine Arts of Venice who attend the same painting atelier."
